I like my cars big. Hatchback is out. I hate station wagons. And the look of MPVs.

So its either a saloon or an SUV. Which one do you think is more driver oriented?

hatcback for me but not the Alto/Santro/Wagon R sized ones. I would buy something like the Golf,Stilo sized hatches. Ok, big hatches are just coming into india but if i have to live here all my life than i m sure many big hatches will come in a few years.

As Coupes have been left out of this poll, I'll go with the saloon. Jaguar XJ - awesome combo of power and grace!

one type of car in india is a compromise in one way or the other.
Better is...
One Saloon - From Baleno to ....
One Tiny Hatch - Like Alto

I'll vote for the Saloon though.

oh yea..! I think I've mentioned this numerous times....I love small cars!

So it goes without saying that I'd pick a hatch. However, when i say hatch, I'm not talkin M800 or its kind! I'm talking VW R32, Ford Focus RS etc!

A hatch is more fexible than a saloon car, most of the larger hatchbacks can take more luggage, IMO, they look better, and they are just basically more fun to drive on a daily basis.

Station wagon...I doubt I would ever buy one, no, not even the S4 Avant.

Actually after a little thinking over this topic, I would say, generally speaking I would pick a sedan, but I could have a hatch or SUV as my first choice depending on what 3 differen choices I am comparing..

Like I would pick an A3(hatch) over A4(sedan)
but in Mazda3, I would pick the sedan
so depends..

I am actually confused between a Saloon and a SUV. Saloon suits me... but my heart is saying SUV...Fine..even if one poll.. but i will go for and off-roader...SUV!!!
