Nope, it will still remain competitive. May go up marginally but surely not in the Camry stratosphere since the Accord will be built locally (unlike the CBU import Toyota).

Pricing it in the Camry levels will be stupidity & I hope Honda's smarter than that. Ideally the 2.4 should cost around 17L-odd on-road Delhi at the most considering that the current 2.4 is 16L on-road Delhi.

That would be a nice price!

IMO, the current design is much better than this one. The front grille seems to have been derived out of the Honda Ridgeline. Like many others, I am reminded of the Sonata when I see this new Accord. This design for sure is a radical detour from the previous one and a paradigm shift.

The Indian version will usually have some additional touches compared to the American version like chrome accents here and there.

I saw this car on freeway last week and trust me it looks so much classier than the pictures. I didn't like the design earlier from the pics, but it sure has appeal when seen in flesh.

I'll keep my eyes open for this one.. since most people who've seen it in person claim that it looks classier..its probably gotta be that way.

OT: saw a bright red Testarossa this morning,on my way to work.. aah.. what a stunner!!

Really looks awesome much better then the outgoing one Gives a feel of BMW from rear end. Front is appealing. Let Honda blast the Indian market with this amazing machine. Hope Honda should act fast

sposed to a bit bigger than the existing model also. the interiors are quite nice.

and of course the v6 with close to 270bhp shud be awesome. for india - might be downgraded by 10% i guess (like the old existing v6).

the regular 2.4 4 cyl engine also comes in 2 variants - 177bhp & 190bhp. so its a huge jump from the 140odd of the existing 2.4.

shud be a good buy even if price is at camry level. if cheaper than camry, will be geat value too.

Diesel??? I dont remember reading about the Diesel variant :(

what are the chances of the coupe hitting India? Slim I would say but would that not be great!

Also this model is a full three inches longer than the outgoing model and the wheelbase has been increased greatly with the result being that the interior cabin space would be tremendous.

@abhinav: The feature is variable cylinder management system.
