What was your first 'new car'?

My first car was a 2009 BMW 320i, one of the first facelifted E90's in Bombay (what I was told). It was my 18th birthday and as a climax to my birthday party my parents surprised me with keys to the Alpine White beauty.

2004 - ZEN VXI
I still remember the day when i landed in front of sagar automobiles (bangalore) at 7:30am just to get a glimpse of my blazing red beauty and the security asked me to come back at 9:30am... (the delivery was scheduled at 11:45am)

I think it's not big guess that i chose to wait outside for 3 hours...

Exactly 364 days back I brought home my first brand new car - Ritz VDi. On coming 14th she will be a year old. Love you baby.

I'm a small town guy, buying a new car in Mumai that to a full cash payment is like a dream come true. I remain grateful to almighty God.

July 2002, WagonR VXi, BS-II, Reveira red, The original MAV

I was a new driver (4 wheeler), too scared to drive in Pune City. Delivered by dealer's driver and remained parked for about a week or so. First weekend, took her out and landed straight in Mumbai (Chembur), man was I nervous near Diamond Circle... Almost nine years now, over 55k kms and it just feels like yesterday. No accidents, no breakdowns (touch wood) so far

My First NEW Car..

Black Tata Indica Xeta 1.4 bought in 2006.. Seemed like the best VFM amongst contenders at that time.
4 Years and is still serving me well except the fact its not one of the best in terms of FE.

My very first vehicle however was a 2 door Hyundai Accent iCoupe.. Bought from my hard earned money through E-bay for 600 pounds.
& how I still wish if it was here with me.

Jan 98, Maruti Zen MH410 bought in New Bombay.
Can't forget that day, my heart was racing the moment I drove out of the showroom and all throughout the drive to my home at Vashi.
Now close to 90000 on the Odometer, still driving it, and its in very good shape. Touch wood, no incidents for me as well.
I'm going to relive those nostalgic moments and memories very soon in Jan 2010 when I get my new sedan.

My first car - Maruti A- star , even though the first car in the family was Maruti 800 (SS80) bought in 1985 , a year before I was born.
I was excited the day my A- star was delivered as this was the first car Brand new car since 1985.
It had everything I wanted A/C, power windows and steering,airbags ,ABS , stereo

DZIRE-VDI-Sovereign blue-2008-My very first car and it was a proud moment really! My wife and me went to take the delivery and Maruti folks had done a decent job during the hand over.
I had planned to buy the swift vdi and had booked the same earlier. Just when I was due to get my swift delivered, the Dzire was launched and the cost difference between both the VDI variants was just about 80k, due to the introductuory offer and it was too hard to resist. Must be one of the few dzire diesel owners who got the car within 1 month waiting period!

Oct 2004, Fiat Palio 1.9D ELX. Wonderful ride, saw many ups and downs in my life.
Sold it in 2008, shouldnt have, still regret the decision.

My new 'new' car is a Ford Fiesta 1.4 TDCi SXi, booked yesterday, taking delivery next week.

First Car and that too gifted. Yes that is how it was. My Father gifted me his Padmini (Fiat ) delux model way back in 1994. It was a lovely vehicle with well cushioned Sofa like seats.
I remember when we had to travel during winters (Every north indian must be aware of it) in Haryana we used to sit with Jaipuri razais on.
In summers we made it a point to travel either during early morning or in late evening to avoid the scorching afternoon heat.
The longest stretch covered on it was from mathura to Jamnagar in 1998.
The arrival of Zen in 2001 changed it all but we still miss the old premier padmini

My first new car was a white Zen D bought in Hyderabad in 2001. This had no power and only an AC. But I still felt so proud and took a lot of long drives around Hyderabad. But then 500 bucks of diesel would see me thru the week...

Ambassador (2nd hand) purchased in 1985 was my first car. (I think the year of manufacture was 1975 but I am not very sure - since it was a long time ago.

) Sold it in 1991.
But my first new car was in 1996 (November I think) - a Tata Sumo.

Our 'first new car' was Hyundai Eon, purchased in Dec 2013. But this meant letting go of a gem. 2007 Zen.
