no change in engine specs, but the code name for the car has changed within the maruti circles.looks for fresh and a lot more goodies stuffed.its always nice to improve and have a change though cosmetic for an ageing model.

I was expecting the same too. But if it had been the case am sure there would have been more hype created before it was launched. From what I gather, changes being made now are purely cosmetic.

Has it been launched going by the Edit on the thread title? Checked the Maruti website, still shows the same old swift and no news about launch.

It's been launched. I got a call from a dealer yesterday saying they have recieved stock for the new one. Comes with a price hike as well.

Is the changes are only for Zxi model or Vxi also ? Along the same lines can someone advice is Swift Vxi or i10 Magna both are in same price range (expect few thousands diff) is best buy for a city ride.

I would go for the Swift VXi over i10 Magna. However, for city use i10 would be more suitable.

i10 also has excellent interiors and good build quality. But from a driver's point of view, Swift would be better.

Why the VXi? cant you go for VDi if its primarily for city use? VXi/LXi is a pain to drive in the city.

If budget is a problem, i10 it should be.

I liked it. The change in design reiterates the swift style statement. Now, even bolder.

Those interior changes in the Swift look like they've borrowed everything from the SX4 :P

Saw New Swift Today!

Today at around 6:45PM i was stuck at traffic lights and i saw the New swift in white color. It looks the same from back it was dark so i couldn't figure out much about the rear bumper but the what caught my attention was the tail lights. They look good. Tried to take pics and catch up with the guy but he was quiet fast.

Will visit the suzuki showroom tomorrow to see if its launched here.

Wow ! Going by the pics, these are all welcome changes. I love the sleek new grille for sure and the taillamp is stylish as well. And I suppose having indicators on the RVMs has become the order of the day for all cars.
