Only on petrol , search for the maruti 2008 discount thread..

Additional question will be ,

Will there be any change?

Great! Does anyone know/heard of a ZDi version coming out, that is a ZXi only with the 1.3L Diesel? Or am I expecting too much from MUL?

The 2008 Swift shown in the pics has integrated blinkers in OVRM's. Any chance of that coming here? Audio controls on steering in Swift Zxi? Either the technology is really cheap or in their quest for giving VFM, Maruti is compromising on quality big time. Proof is their rattling cars and my own problematic SX4. But why bother? The swift turned up on tops in the J.D.Power initial quality survey and I am sure the SX4 will too next year.

Hey,saw a CNBC ticker which said Swift price have been increased by Rs.10000.Does this mean the updated version is out or is it just because of rising input costs?

Guys , I too was about to start a thread about the changes happening but didn't think it was appropriate as I had inside info from a friend who works for Maruti . Infact I had booked a Vdi and was to get delivery in first week Dec and I did but I didn't take the car as I was informed about the changes in the car . I dunno what the price increase exactly is but at that point it was expected to be about 6k or so .

The dealers also weren't aware of such a thing happening .... as for pics , I should have my car in a few days time and then I shall make an effort and click pics and show it you guys , though Im sure someone will already have posted the pics of the new look .

But YES .... it aint a rumour -- ITS TRUE that there are minor cosmetic changes happening !!!

Cheers

PS -- I was told in Dec that the new look model would start rolling out on the 7th Jan -- so be out anyday !!! I'm getting it in white and hope the changes make it look better
