Engine# Chassis# on #plate

I was astounded to see a black Santro in front of me with Jharkhand registration which also listed its engine number and chassis number on the number plate.

I guess it wasn't a single driver car as there wasn't a driving licence number on the numberplate.

Trivia Question: Does Jharkhand require this listing?

The new number plates which are into effect pretty soon will have 3 plates on the car. One for front back and one sticker on the rear window. The sticker on the rear window is tamper proof and so are the number plates when tampered with , wil self destruct. Once in effect, the new cars will come with this plate and the old cars will have 2 years to get this number plate. It is supposed to cost a 1000rs or more.
