Indian cars for enthusiast, 0-100 in below 10 sec...

What are the options available on Indian roads...for car enthusiast? and which one is most fav of all?

Lets discus the pros and cons of cars which can do 0-100 in below 10 sec

My Optra Magnum does it in 9.87 sec only

Are there any Indian brand that do the 0-100 in less than 10 seconds, cause I know a lot of the International brands that can get it and many of them are available in India now but what about our Indian brands? I am not to familiar with the scene back home, just beginning to learn since I joined this forum, so no Indian cars come to mind for the 0-100 sprint.

Speaking of Indian brands, how much does Alto (800 CC) take to do 0-100?

Old VTEC was times at 9.95secs by some car magazine when it came out. I remember that very well as that was the reason I made by dad buy that for himself back in 2001.

CIVIC was timed at 9.5sec by another mag.

BMW 525d = 7.5 seconds

@throttleking- Do you mean cars assembled locally that break the ton barrier? Or else the list is never ending as almost every car is not available in India at a price.

GETZ CRDI (petefied). I think (not sure) it would do 0-100 in < 10 sec. Can buy for 6+.

Yeah it was 9.92 by Overdrive back in 2000.

GTOs stock Vtec clocked 8.93secs to 96kmph on the Gtech pro, so 100 in under 10 secs is very much possible.

I think we're only talking about stock performance here.
