I was interested in 3.2FSI with Manual. Called the dealer to figure out that this too is going to be Automatic. I told him that I would buy only if it Manual. He double checked with Audi India to confirm the misfortune.

BTW, 3.2FSI will be available in Oct 08 while 2.0TDI in July 3rd week, as per the dealer.

You mean the present diesel IS very good & the diesel that's coming will also be very good - OBVIOUSLY Akshay - it's an AUDI . Also think re-map & you have 180+ Bhp & insane amount of torque !!!!

Cheers

Take a look at the Audi TT 3.2 Quattro, unless you have to have a saloon. Believe me the TT is a hoot to drive and it is a manual

Cheers

it would be interesting to see the 0-100 figures of the diesel engine after the remap. However FSI not coming with the manual transmission is indeed a misfortune.

i never said the present diesel isnt good. infact im a huge audi fan. id take the a4 over the 3 series, but the 5 over the a6, and the 7 and a8 are a tie. lol. and dont get me started about the r8 (especially the tdi which hopefully will be out very soon).

so when is the remap going on your car?

Akshay, I think pretty soon both the A6 and A8 will be upgraded. As they have done to the A4, with new LED headlamps and stuff, am sure slowly they will intergrate that design style (sporty looks) and the LED headlamps (futuristic looking) to the A6 & A8. Its just a matter of time before Audi comes out with sneak peaks of its future productions.

Btw, 2 days back, in the HYD Audi Showroom saw the TT - in black color! and man, was it AWESOME, i was like, dumbstruck seeing that vehicle! i had no words coming out even to praise it! its like a piece of art - a la piccaso! BEAUTIFUL is the word!

And then came the dilema! and my dilema was to just judge which i would buy "IF" i had the dough, coz right next to the TT was a huge equally BEAUTIFUL and outtadaworld looking Q7! Man, i was like on a tight rope just to decide which is better of these 2! one side of me was the TT, a cute sports car! and on the other side of me was a cute SUV! both marvelous in their makes/design/drive! its a tough choice one would have to make at that point of life, where one has the dough to buy it, and is to decide between one of them!

Wish god gives the money for both, as wouldnt want to leave one for the other! those who have seen it in real, would believe what i say.
REST - GO HAVE A LOOK!

@ID - I agree. Audi's were always amazing vehicles and I have always been impressed with them. We had an Audi 100 TD a long time ago and me and my dad both love audi's. Infact, I want to buy a used Audi out here in the US (lets see how that goes.. Doubt it will happen - too expensive). However, unlike the old Audi's, the new one's have the look to match their quality and their desirability levels are just going off the roof with each new model. Earlier, Audi's were more about quality and now it seems that along with quality, Audi is focusing on the desirability and that's a good thing.

@ ID : Calling the Q7 - CUTE, is like calling a bull - CUTE !!!!! LOL LOL LOL Just kidding pal

I had the Q7 for a test drive for the full day (with a full tank of diesel).

This was one SUV which drove like it was gliding over water, the power was like that of a locomotive, noise was non-existent, there was nothing that I did not like except for the overly huge size & of course the price - tag...

The road presence of the Q7 in humungous to say the least, the view from the driver's seat is commanding.

Well - it's certainly nice to see more & more people are taking a liking for the Audi. Audi certainly are another league.

Cheers
