It's done in western world so why not here? Though they should move them around with real cops taking there place once a while so as to keep us guessing. Else this move will last only till most people learn that it's cut-out.

Let's go and uh.."vandalise" them at midnight when no one's around.
I used to know this guy in college who would get sloshed and drive around town stealing traffic signal lights.

I am not sure of that, as it could be a one way bridge. The sign on the wall of the bridge points to the direction the scorpio is going toward. But I could be wrong too.

Novel Idea. I am sure there is a majority population who are not from tbhp. So i definetly think it will help the police in reducing the speed of vehicles for sure.

If I saw these planted on the Expressway, I would like to pass by them at a very close distance & at a high speed! Then I can say, well I blew away a policeman with my car's wake today!

Saw these cutouts on the eastern express highway from Mumbai to Thane. Noticed one interesting thing. A traffic police pickup van was collecting these cut-outs a little after dark.
So they will be placing it in the morning and pick back in the night.

Once everyone is aware about the dummies, random change of placement and substituting with real cops will definitely boost their monthly collections.

Who says in the downward economy you don't have income avenues..

I had never known of these!!!LOLzzzzzzzz

Trust me once you get used to running down dummies for cheap thrills the real ones can land you in deep trouble.

All said and done, this is the most funniest thing Ive ever seen on this forum!!!

^ My exact thoughts !
The system will actually do quite decently if the above is indeed implemented.

No, that's a one way flyover.

Reports say that these cutouts WILL be frequently replaced by real cops to catch unsuspecting motorists.

P.S. - I am thinking of Ferrari and Lambo cutouts in my driveway

I think on odd days the real police might stand there and catch a few people. So that the people are always kept guessing....

This might work if the police really stand there on a few odd days. Every time people see the cut out, they will first try to know whether it is real police or the cut-out. And in this process they will slow down.......
