Well, to be fair to Aseem, it did come across as a sarcastic one, though is was a bit confusing in the beginning (with a bit of a sophistication in the driver's car part, air bag maintenance and ofcourse the sluggishness of SX4 in the form of low FE).

But, dude why do you want the thread closed anyway? Atleast it helps people get a fair view of the real C-segment winner from the point of view of drivability and stuffs that the forum members like, rather than just going by the sales figures to pick the winners.

Understood the sarcasm of aseem!

However I do see that this poll is not relevant anymore once Linea is launched. We do not have than as an option and I think the way polls work, those once voted cannot vote again. So from that perspective this poll may be closed.

seems intresting, the ANHC is just out but looks like most voted for it.what was it based on,looks and reviews written by others or based on the experience of test drives and good times with the previous gen HC,
i do love the honda and have no bad feelings towards it but just curious.

Well, it is “All New” – so it is bound to fire the sales charts
It comes from “Honda” – the badge says it all
It is a “City” – the pedigree takes care of its shortcomings anyway

We can start another thread with a new poll including the Linea when its launched. Will give a better picture then if people still prefer the same cars in this thread.

My vote goes for Fiesta S, for the awesome "behind the wheel" feeling it gives. But I am eagerly waiting for Linea launch.

Wait for Fiat Linea to get launched and you'll wait forever. They themselves are not sure whether they want to launch it ever in India.

The date of launch is so secret that the Fiat management itself might not have a clue of when it will be launched

Exactly my point. In all ANHC threads, you can see people going on about how it will still return i-DSI kind of FE, inspite of huge increase in power. Hence my comment.

While I dont deny the effect of engine efficiency, it also remains that when an engine is tuned for more power, it is only natural for FE to go down, all other things remaining the same.

I have heard a lot of good reviews about the fiesta and i believe what i heard, but somehow that car has a very family look to it, unlike the sporty Ikon. And that kills of my interest.

I would any day prefer the SX4.

But i have voted for Honda, cant beat them. They are the best in petrol heads, good refinement, good power delivery, good milage and always a step ahead of the competition.

As you rightly point out, all things remaining the same. However in this case all things are not same. The engine has vvt-i to extract more power and that is not the same as modding a same engine for more power by simply changing the air-fuel mixture (ecu remap). Therefore direct parallels or conclusions about FE cant be drawn.

Why speculate when we will soon be having user-reports on the forum ?

And while there is no denying that vvt-i (or is it i-VTEC) is surely cutting-edge technology, it is also not a magical contraption that can extract more power without burning extra fuel. I still stand by my view that there is no way the ANHC can deliver the same FE as the i-DSi NHC.

ANHC for sure. Honda pushes the envelopes once again. If only it had climate control and alloys. But it still wins in the overall package. Best engine, best looks, best FE, best interiors. And of course the fact that its a honda
