well can't help it if most buyers start comparing the palio with a alto or a santro wrt FE. Obviously with a smaller frugal engine the alto and the santro will deliver more than the Palio. And since Indian always value FE more (its slowly changing albeit) - the solid built of the Palio then (i.e. 5-7 years back) failed to generate the kind of enthusiasm amongst the masses.

Though for a true motorhead there was nothign in coparision to the Palio 1.6 - a true blue hot hatch of those times. and yes the pricing was the icing of the cake. Inly if the service network worked out in a better way earlier.
