Very interesting read on Fortune about the road ahead for Mercedes. Fairly balanced viewpoints.

Whats even more puzzling is that in 96 there was no competetion and now we have Audi, BMW, Volvo and Jag.

Some of it is probably the exchange rate of the rupee.

Today I saw a new model S Class stranded on DND highway in Delhi. Driver was peeking under the bonnet alongwith passengers. It was pathetic to see a 80 lac car stranded like an 5 lac car. Even my Matiz gave me 10 years of trouble free service and never broke down on road after covering more than 1 lac KMs .

What are you doing to improve the quality of your cars, reduce the ownership cost and give a 4 years warranty.
