It is essential for it to get this engine upgrade as the earlier engine is a compromise and spoils such a good car chance of competing with anybody.

This was already anticipated by many of us when i20 was launched. Now, expect i10 like positioning moves.
i20 1.2 petrol only will have base model, and i20 1.4 petrol and 1.4 CRDI will have 2 or 3 variants.

It still remains to be seen whether the pricing is reasonable, though...

i think i20 asta (O). with six airbags, abs, 98 bhp power, large wheel base, not bad.... ok it is a little overpriced. but you get what you pay for. i wont mind. paying it. they should bring the price down a lil if possible for sure.

The 1.4-litre petrol develops a healthy 98bhp and will appeal to those who want more power and don’t mind paying for it.
Does the Petrol Engine develop 98 BHP or 89 BHP ?

Jazz 1.5 Vtec must be priced around the same as Honda City. In my view, its not any lesser car compared to City, boot space may be a little less, but everything else may probably make it even better engineered. Remember, Jazz is the true Honda World Car as compared to City, which shares the same platform. What may do for Honda though is the 1.2 litre version which takes the additional excise benefit.

Now that the shoddy service of skoda is out there for all to see, I feel that the urban yuppies will migrate to other cars, like the i20 and the jazz. IMO as soon as the jazz comes out, it will annihilate the sales of the i20.

Why ?

The honda badge!

I mean I know people who are so particular about the brand of car they buy, that they don't even look at stark facts and figures staring them in their face.

AS LONG AS IT'S A HONDA/TOYOTA/*INSERT OTHER PREMIUM BRANDS HERE*, THEY ARE HAPPY.
