Thanks. At present I am in US and soon will be back in India ( Some two more months to go. )

I heard from several sources that a NMB is coming (New Maruti Baleno !) within 3 months. I hope it will come with upgraded tires, ABS, Air bags and better interior . I don't care much about looks etc.

However I won't wait for any such new things coming. Whenever I am ready, will buy the best available car (within my budget ofcourse) and at present it is no doubt NHC.

Well SMG my advice to you is that you should look at a car which has ABS in it sincer ABS is very importyant and is standard on many models..

Yes, I would like to have both, ABS and Airbags but at present both NHC and Baleno come without it and further it is not available as an option too.

I hope NMB will come with ABS and Airbags (NMB Zxi) .

I think the NMB should be having ABS since the swift has them and so does the wagon R.. atleast as an option..

Lot of off topic discussions happening. hmmm!

btw can someone tell about the negative points of NHC (suspension, build quality, tires, steering etc.,)

Main Hoon Naa :p

suspension - good

build quality - build to last..

tires - nothing to write home about very very poor and need change asap..

steering - hard at low speeds but very senstive at highspeeds thanx to EPS

That's exactly the opposite of what a EPS should do. It's supposed to be very light and sensitive at parking speeds and should get harder as the speed builds up.

Man you sure have had some wierd experiences with your NHC.

Atleast the ones i drove were pretty smooth and light at low speeds but didn't have the assuring feel while taking turns at speeds of over 140kmph. A tyre upgrade might help a bit.

Shan2nu

Yeah Shan thats what but still it behaves that way.. was very hard at low speeds and got over sensitive at highspeeds anywayz have already sold the NHC and tomorow comes Optra.. finally after such a long wait.. it was supposed to arrive last wednesday but unfortunately the truck carrying from Halol crashed with the car in it. Getting car without anti-rust and teflon and will go to dealer on saturday and get it done will have to leave car for 3 hrs.. :OT

did your car also get damaged? are you getting a new one then?

Yeah that car damaged. New one has arrived taking delivery today finally after such a long wait. Those cars are insured for Rs.1500

Meaning? What kind of losses the company will incur if such cars meet with accident? Just a thought. Sorry for being off-topic.
