Audi Q5 - Launching on June-3

Fantastic, thank you Sid.

I would say 3 L TDI is great VFM. This is the same engine Porsche Cayenne ,Audi Q7 and VW Toureg are sharing with. ( 6 Cyl, 240 BHP, 500+ NM ).

Q7 sales will be impacted for sure, I am thinking about which other cars may get affected because of Q5 ? May be Mitsubishi Montero and Toyota Prado ? I feel BMW X3 will also feel some heat.

Brave move Audi corp !!

Wow, nice to see the smaller Q5 being offered with the 3.0L diesel engine. BMW better start offering a good diesel X3 or that model is gonna be dead in the water from now on.

Also, any idea when the new 2009 Q7 is getting launched in India?

where exactly is the launch in Gurgaon? at the Audi gurgaon showroom or somewhere else?

The Q7 facelift is expected in december.

The Q5 is expensive. IT's about 45-47 L. On road for the Petrol version and 55L on road for the TDI. With all the optionals, the fully loaded TDI is around 60L which is only around 8L less than the base Q7.

However you get the same engine as the Q7 in a smaller car. I like.

I still remember the Top Gear episode in which Hammond went "Audi has bought a photocopier!". He then proceeded to show the Q5 as as 75% reduced copy of the Q7.

The q5 certainly looks great, i wonder if they are offering the same interior from the brochures. I also wonder if they offer the S-line body kit package.

Can anyone post actual pics of the car? I passed by the audi dealership in mumbai and didnt see the Q5 on display.

Compare it to the other CBU's. Prado and Montero in the 47 lakh range, the Q5 with its 3.0 diesel is sure to appeal to those looking at a German SUV for 50. I'm pretty sure a handful of potential E & 5 series owners will convert to the Q5 as well.

New sub-50 lakh launches are the need of the hour for the 3 Germans. Audi is on the right track.

Saw a grey colored Q5 yday being driven out of AUDI service centre / warehouse , Looks very compact like Honda CRV . IMO Audi has got the price right and should sell for it Badge .
