Hundred percent True in my opinion also.
Do the buyers of ABS version not serious to know the functionality of ABS etc.This is plain simple coaxing of young mind to the brink of being Criminally wrong also.

I mean, sure you haven't forgotten the Pulsar ads, right? They had actual footage of hooligans on bikes ripping through a crowded city/marketplace.

One tiny advice on the bottom of the screen telling people to refrain from such behavior doesn't really help, does it?

Disclaimer: Before I get flamed, I am an very safe driver, and don't indulge in or encourage street racing or other kind of hooliganism. Extremely proud of the same.

The point is , it defeats the purpose of having a safety feature. I bet I can be safer in my ye olde indica than some idiot driving recklessly because honda asks him " why so serious"

But don't they have some "BRAINS" in HONDA to validate whats written by an ADD agency?

ASCI | How to Complain

It is an effective organisation. I actually stopped a Hyundai advertisement in 2000. It was the one where two kids are lost and get into a strngers cars (driven by shahrukh). I felt it would encourage kids to seek lifts with strangers thus endangering themselves to child abuse

The other day there was an Ad by Honda dealer titled 'Enjoy the admiration'

Quite a blantant copy.

I agree with Thad.
The ad is not just brainless, but outright criminal!!
But then, its not a first in indian automobile advertising either. The swift ad showed the guy actually driving down the wrong side of the road after he exits the ramp. The pulsar 220 ad shows a bank robber using the bike, when pulsars have already been black marked by police for being used in chain snatchings.
Am going to try the ASCI link posted by Ajmat to report these.

Friends, while we are at it, can anyone please explain the Honda Jazz commercial to me? I have watched it at least a 50 times and am still unable to make heads or tails out of it. Just see this sequence:

1. Key lying on table, gets picked
2. Guy picks a cactus pot with a solitary flower
3. As he drives around in Jazz, people's cars nearby turn to bubbles that pop (I think they mean envy here)
4. Guy's girl sees the guy arrive. She is disappointed by the sight of cactus. Then she sights the flower, plucks it and walks away smilingly.
5. We see the cactus pot- and the tag line= Why So Serious?

Just what the hell is this ad trying to communicate?

Goodness knows! I don't watch TV, so I haven't seen this puzzler --- but it least it doesn't look as if it is encouraging anything more dangerous than cactus handling!

Nobody expects much of advertising; All that 'ubercool' stuff seemed more appropriate to selling cellphones to teenagers, but the crap advertising doesn't put me off the i20. However, I do think we can expect them not to try to sell cigarettes to five-year-olds, and not to encourage dangerous driving by giving a wrong technical justification.

No, I do not think that this is too much fuss, or a mountain out of a molehill.
