Mahindra Renault's secret weapon?

(pics courtesy DaciaClub (Powered by Invision Power Board))

Remember the palio adventure? It is similar concept of a pseudo-SUV that is based on the Logan chassis. Dacia (Renault Logan) will introduce this in mid-2010 in Europe.

This car was scooped by a member of a forum mentioned on the pic during a dealer clinic/ presentation in Romania and would you believe it-some sources have mentioned that Renault invited some officials from Mahindra Renault to come and have a look at the vehicle before evaluating for India launch.

Thats why this vehicle has some relevance to the Indian car scene.
Do you think that this vehicle has any chances of making it in India in 2011?

Any probability?

Once you put in the magic words "palio adventure" in the start of the post, this car should make it to India.

It looks interesting and definetly has scope for an India introduction if the specification and pricing are right. But will Mahindra be interested to bring it out making competition for Sorpio.

What if Mahindra refuse but Renault still get it to India. Now that would be interesting .
Former bed-fellows slugging it out in the market.

look at the vehicle in perspective to the person standing next to it. It appears to be quite high, IMHO, this is a bit like the tuscon or even a GV.

I think M&M will try and position this as a "Premium xOver" so that people who go to buy this end up buying the Xylo.

I don't think that Mahindra will give Renault a chance to launch DACIA here in India, as it is a straight competitor to Scorpio & Xylo, & looks a bit different wit ha fair styling as premier Xover.

holly cow!

the new Mahindra SUV that has been spied a few times has very similar dimensions.

the lights and grill openings are also of same size.

i guess mahindra will position this as the new SUV for 2011, after adding a rabbit tooth grill

Now that you mention it, it does look similar to the M&M vehicle undergoing testing!

i think it is Dacia " Sandero stepway " based on Sandero platform which is a hatchback ,already launched in south american markets. It is a SUV crossover powered by 1.5 ltr DCi engine currently powering logan in india

@Anthym, look again : the two pics are not taken from the same distance. The M&M mule is taken from a close distance. Cant comment on the similarities / differnces in size Without much to use for comparison in the pics.

But, the Dacia SUV pictured here is also huge, or maybe i guess the person who is standing near it is a midget

to me the Dacia SUV pictured here has proportions similar to Mitsubishi Montero.

The rear overhang on the camouflaged vehicle is much bigger then the Dacia pictured.

One never knows though. I would be surprised that Mahindra will be pushing the Dacia as their world SUV.

The Mahindra is definitely not the Dacia.
