I already looked at City, Corsa as options
Corsa has nice shocks but no pickup, I thought I have retired for last 5 years when I drove a Corsa.

City has nice feeling, but din like the steering, too light for my taste.

I will choose City offcourse

and yes I have looked at Petra, Ikon, Accent.

Also I have looked at other options such as switching to small car just now and then switching again when more cars like Febia, Focus etc are launched.

BTW, I currently drive a auto 1997 Zen, definitely time for a change

http://www.dancewithshadows.com/skod...2005-india.asp

This is what I found on web.

It quotes Skoda Auto India Managing Director Mr Imran Hassen saying it will be launched around Oct 2005.

So the information Pune dealer gave can be right?

Bimmer if you planing to buy a NHC please go through this thread.. What are you looking at?? NHC is not the best car going around. Even the Fabia wont be the best.. It is cramped and looks some what Ikonish.. But Petra is a very good car.. take a look at that..

Fabia to India only in later half of next year!!!

People who are waiting for Fabia over Swift/Getz read this info. I guess GM(Chevy) Aveo will come sooner than Fabia.

Forget the Fabia. The current version is way too small for india. I presume they are waiting for the next generation Fabia before bringing it to India.

It indeed is foolish on Skoda's part not to launch Fabia in India. However, VW has decided to hold its India plans because of corruption issue within its ranks. There is also a separate thread created for that news. I believe Skoda is planning to localise Fabia heavily, or it is waiting to release the new Fabia.

Looks like Skoda are satisfied with one success story and doesnt want to go beyond.
They have to consider seriously launching sub 10L cars too.
