Hyundai's action may be justified technically, but ofcourse not morally!

This is really ridiculous of Hyundai to drag mahindra renault over sandero.

If they feel that renault are trying to cash in on santro's name that they are mistaken. Also as far as copying of name is concerned - Maharashtra Govt should file a case against Hyundai - as Santro sounds so much familiar to Santra which is cultivated in abundance in Nagpur. Man this is the biggest joke that I have heard.

Regards,
kailash

Good for Mahindra - Renault!

Hyundai is doing Mahindra Renault a favour by getting them free publicity.

Let the conspiracy theories flow = M=R and H are acting together in order to dent H or M.........

A disgruntled employee of H started the action .....

M-R paid H to file this case .....

Cheers,

Its just a nonsense from Hyundai. Sandero is sold in European market where Hyundai also is present. Santro was sold earlier in Europe (now stopped since the launch of i10).
I saw the sandero in Europe and its a pretty nice car and will be a success if it falls in the right prize tag.

I also heard that Hyundai is now filing a case against Honda as Honda's logo has a H in it. Looks similar to the Hyundai Logo.

So its a case of mistaken identity hurting the original name.
Or what about the more likely scenario of;

Person 1 to person 2 -"yaar my sandero is very spacious and catches a lot of attention'

Persons 2 to person 3 - "I know someonw whose finds his santro to be very spacious and a great looker"

Person 3 to person 4 - "Lets go get the Satro its the most spacious car in it's segment and is beautifully designed"

a case of mistaken identity benefiting the original name.

Or how about a guy asking another who much does the Santro cost, the reply - about 7L (referring to the Sandero which he think is the santro) the first guy obviously drops his santro purchase plans thanks to the expensive pricing.
