Accord 3.5 V6 - Guess who's getting one?

I can't figure out why someone who is going to be seated ONLY on the backseat wants a V6? The I-4 (and cheaper) Accord is exactly the same. As spacious, as comfortable and nearly 10 lakh rupees cheaper!

Unfortunately, it seems to be an ego thing where one wants only the "top loaded" variant. Reminds me of chauffeur-driven seths who would walk into a showroom and place an order for the OHC Vtec. Try explaining to them that a 1.3 / 1.5 otherwise identical OHC serves them just as well. Of course, salesmen couldn't be any happier with such a logic-defying trend.

well i guess there are two things here.

1. The governor has a petrol-head as kid or grand-kid.

2. This is a scheme by one clever babu. Buy an I-4 Accord, stick a 3.5 V6 badge and pocket 10 lac rupees, or get them transfered to a swiss bank account. Nice eh?

.. As a bhpian , yes the obvious question is , why so much bhp.The 2.4 is just fine if it had to be an Accord. Point 2 is a clever deduction.In India, looks like public money _is meant_ to be stolen. Ridiculous. And people in this country don't get 2 square meals a day.

Why a Honda Accord at all guys?
While there may/should be something at that level regarding perks (car) etc to be provided to her as the governors wife - give her a simple car like a Maruti Dzire or an Amby as everyone has suggested.
This is one more example of wasting our money - and hey, look around guys our government seems to be an expert in such matters!
