I'm somehow not happy with the SWIFT being placed in a segement above the RITZ. I also think that the TOYOTA should be Upper B+ and the PUNTO, POLO and FIGO should be donwgraded to Upper B. The i10 cannot straddle segments!

Just my 2cents. Wonderful thought gone into this thread SID, only you can do it.

I think price should be the main criteria. Within hatches, the higher the price, the higher the segment. But I can't see the point of these classifications. Unless we have a proper universal system, every magazine and forum will classify each of these slightly differently.

There is still some confusion regarding the new WagonR in my mind. If its going to be bigger, heavier than the current one (as seen in other threads and Autocar mag) then 1.0 lt engine would make it underpowered and not at all good to drive in city.
Downgrading the engine in terms of number of cylinders (even if its an upgrade in terms of power/torque figures) is a step in the wrong direction. I sincerely hope that the new WR comes with a 1.1 lt or above 4 cyl K series engine.
Maruti should understand that unlike the Estilo, WagonR has built a strong brand image over the years. It deserves better treatment IMO.
