Renault-Nissan should invest in setting up their own dealerships, give the Logan a makeover , market the Micra well and import affordable but funky cars from their stable to attract younger buyers. They'll be making a big mistake if they target the well heeled first. The Teana should have taught them a lesson. No?.

Not all marriages are made in heaven. The equal partnership between French Auto major Renault and India's Mahindra and Mahindra is set to get modified and the change may result in either an exit or in one of the players ending up with a token stake.
Sources said that the two companies are working on various options, including Renault buying out Mahindra's 51 per cent stake in the joint venture or Mahindra buying out Renault's 49 per cent stake. The other option could be Renault having a majority stake, with Mahindra holding a minimal share and Logan and its variants being manufactured out of Nashik on a contract basis.
Both the companies on their part say they are committed to Logan and the venture. But now that the joint venture will be restructured, it future shape will determine the Renault India's road ahead.
Sources say that the discussions have reached the last leg and if there are disagreements now both parties will part ways. Experts say the plate is already full. For M&M, it does not make sense to carry on sick venture but for Renault, M&M’s support is critical till it creates a decent base in India
