Let us see how many of us can recognize the gesture this traffic policeman is making?

I could not find any post or thread about traffic rules, signs and etiquette on TBHP site. Please excuse me, if I am wrong and guide me to appropriate thread. Else we can continue the discussion about trafficology.

Right turn signal for the vehicle approaching him :-))))))

Wow! I like this thread, good concept! I agree with latheesh, right turn clear for vehicles approaching him!

Any other guess!!!
Guessing this gesture is not that easy or I am a moron.

To give VIP Salute

Yes!
aargee, you are right on the target.

Lol, the irony of a chap called "rule breaker" starting the thread!

But in all seriousness, a very good thread. I did not know that gesture was for a VIP salute.

What do you think of this sign?

Thankyou McLaren.

The bigger irony is we (the enthusiasts) know only little more than common man as far as rules are concerned (me included).

Now let us give this one a try.

Is that a sign to indicate a pier?

IMO it means the road ends here and a swamp/lake starts or maybe I don't know.
OT::You are jumping the road

Not a pier for sure, as there was none.

Just behind the sign is where the road boundary ends and you (the car) can end up in the river.

I saw this sign in Uttarkashi and is located between Rishikesh - Tehri stretch.

Till date couldn't understand the exact meaning of this sign - may be just a way to show danger ahead.

Uploading the picture again as the picture was not clear.

1. Fire prone area ahead
2. Car on fire. lol:
