Mercedes Benz launches the S Guard in India

Article in Hindustan Times stated - " The tag on this car is a Maybach bettering 6 crore"
Where the maybach starting level price tag is 5.5 crore, the S guard is a lot more than that. Wow, wondering what the mileage would be . How about 0.5 !!! lol

This will be the new prestige car for politicians. People complained big time when Yeddyurappa spent 25L on a Honda CRV, I wonder they will say when ministers start buying this one!

OT: Most of the websites I read the article about the S-guard limousine mentioned the limousine has a 12 cylinder 5.5 cc petrol engine. The sites include 'The Hindu', 'NDTV profit', 'Deccan Herald', 'Business Standard', etc. All these articles looks like copy pasting work from a same site and just rephrasing the sentences.

You are normally given a press pack by the PR company as well as emai updates. Thats all they do - cut and paste

Guys just want to share information here. There are already two S Gaurds and one S Gaurd Limousine in Bombay. The cars were sold way before the official Launch of the cars in India.

Anyone know whether GOI has bought the S guard.
Think i read in 'The Hindu' that they got orders from GOI.
Guess the W140 limo of the Rashtrapati has got a replacement.

Ya thats true, GOI has placed the first order for the S-Guard (7Nos I guess) followed by Pak-embassy.

That's to say until our manufacturers come up with a worthy desi product for the State car.

You rightly said dude, S-class is the ultimate choice for the 1st citizen of any nation! S-Guard is the most prefered diplomatic car around the world. But don have to worry, Prime Minister have 7er in India!

Being my favorite luxury car I'll defenitly cover 'the best car in the world' but waiting to get any special model!

. I've already tested the FL S500 & the same car is ready to cover in my show, but still hunting for more special one!

So what happens to the W140 limo?It used to look beautiful in black with that V12 badge.
Say what you want but the sense of power that the W140 used to exude cannot be matched by this s-gaurd.

Can't deny that each s class looks it's part.
But the w126 and w140 are the best looking s classes for me so far.
w126 for that businessman feeling and w140- can't describe.The car just oooozzes a kinda of what???
"BIG BAD YAKUZA!!!" or "the Prez has just arrived folks" or "Get outta ma way!!"
Timeless at the same time the w116 reminds me of a dictator.
But the present s class is not that bad.Barring the headlights it's got the aura of a s class.
hanmust special you say??
I mean the s500,can't wait to see it in your show.
But you waiting for s65 AMG , S600 pullman or what?. certainly would have an impact on the viewers(non-Tbhpians) if you brought along the pullman for the show.
