Those images are fake for the following reasons

1. Look at the body shine on the bootlid. Also concentrate on the position of the logo - It is whitened in MS paint I guess.
2. Same shine on the rear quarter panel in the second picture - Doesnt it look artificial? Why are the rear lamps not visible in the second picture?
3.The give-away is this - Look at the profile of the rear in the two pictures - The first one looks like there is a flat piece on the boot while in the second, it looks like it tapers and then turns vertical.
4. Moreover, the Logan CS (if called so) is meant only for India. So why test it abroad? That too why winter tests on a vehicle that has already proven itself?
5. Finally - Why would they test such a vehicle with no camouflage at all??

I'm afraid that this is the work of a guy sitting with photoshop.

Logans biggest issue is its looks. Going by that pic, it looks outdated. I guess, It will not stand a chance.

This move will not fetch them the volume they want it can only increase their volumes to few hundreds. If they really want to generate volumes then they need to make a big changes to the car exterior and interior.

+1

It looks like a breadbox on wheels though nothing as such is wrong with the car. I have never understood why it has'nt done well in the market. Its affordable, efficient, ok engines and space. It still lags behind.

I can't decide whether to phrase this news item as "management blindness" or "too little too late". Reviving a failed product in India, 4 years after launch, is an incredibly uphill task. Plus, the Logan looked outdated at the time of launch and looks even more outdated today. The game has moved on. Just look at what the Tata Manza offers for LESS $$$ than the Logan. Is THIS Renault's reply to the Manza?

Renault would do good in not throwing good money after bad, and moving on. The Logan is finished. Time to bring in truly modern products and - importantly - price them well to start with. Flogging a dead horse like the Logan is only going to cost them brand equity.

P.S. : Whoever thought up the Logan's pricing strategy should be fired (if not already).

Looks like somebody has hit it hard from behind - they could have atleast tried better tail lamps.

Maybe the 1.2L 80bhp engine is a saviour?

Renault Logan CS inspired from the Tata Indigo CS...

A case of reverse inspiration. Till now the Asian companies were copying Western cars' design & tech. Now it is the vice versa for survival in a competitive market with old product instead of the latest one.

Renault management could have introduced own car (instead of that from subsidiary) to gain market share in India. But, all appears that they are presently confused about their Indian market strategy & partners. Mahindra, Bajaj, small car, micro car,... & the list goes on.

What a hideous contraption. The Indigo CS's chop job made the Indigo look better. It had better designed tail-lamps that gelled with the design.

This is a piece of crap. My respect for Carlos Ghosn that was already at a low (after the Logan's launch) just hit rock bottom. Maybe it's because I dislike the Micra too (not because of it's engineering, but the way it looks).

Somehow the BSM pics also doesnt look genuine to me.
Too hazy background, not very clear lines defining boot line near rear glass..
And what is it? a Notchback? The glass is the same as the C/G Logan. Then how does it open?

This is a photoshopped pic.

- The new Logans have larger ORVMs, this one carries the older ones.
- Lines in some places are distorted or missing.
- The bottom right side of the bumper is lower than the left.
- The length of the Logan is 4.2 m, they need it to shorten it to 4m. Why would they chop off the whole boot, when it can be done just by shortening the bumpers.
- No camouflage.. plus why would they carelessly park it in a parking lot?
