Worst article. Shiv Nadar is a RR freak - Rathan Tata uses Indigo along with his pile of super cars and so on. What was that article on MSN?? Guess those guys are allowed to smoke pot in their office.

Don't worry, he upgraded to a bulletproof 7 series. Source ET.

Bah, what a lousily compiled article. Instead, lets talk about Indian CEOs with taste:

Anil Ambani : A Lamborghini Gallardo & Scuderia F430.

VJ Mallya : An enviable vintage car collection (or so I'm told). Also knows a classic F1 car. 'Nuff said.

Gautam Singhania : I mean, c'mon, which CEO you know of has an Ariel Atom, Honda S2000, Lotus Elise and Skyline R33. The first 3 are light & pure driving machines.

Wadias (Bombay Dyeing) : You have to have taste to have owned a W140 S600.

Journo should have known better. I guess he meant to upload an Indigos picture.

Not to forget the 348 they reportedly owned.

You are right. They did own a 348 TB. One of the only Ferraris in Mumbai at one point of time.

One of friends spotted this in his office building today morning, which also has a Raymonds office in one of the floors. Reportedly belongs to Mr. Gautam Singhania. I have asked him to take a video of the car when it's started, if possible.

Its supposed to be a camry. I suppose these are not the original pictures of the respective CEO's car but just a generic picture, as I found Azim PremJi's and the SBI chairman's cars being the same pic.

Which is the Tata car driven by Tata? It does look quite premium, is it specially manufactured for him?

The TATA sedan in the pic is Tata Prima (?) - a sedan concept shown at the 2010/12 expo (don't remember exactly). I'm almost certain he doesn't use that. Last I saw him entering office, it was in an open hood Nano.

I believe KMB has been using a 7 series for several years or am I wrong?

Re: Cars Indian CEOs drive

Here is the latest side show I saw at rediff.com. It is true that Kumar Mangalam Birla uses a 7 series. The car is bullet proof and I have seen him using that car when he had come once to the PMO to attend an industrialist meet.

Pardon my ignorance, but what car is that?
Custom-made?
Anyway, seems a bad choice of paint and alloys/tyres to mine eyes!!

Its a Ford V8 Roadster based hot rod. Hot rods are meant to look exactly like that, nothing out of place!

Re: Cars Indian CEOs drive

Yesterday evening, saw Narayana Murthy, Executive Chairman of Infosys, in a black Scorpio near Udupi garden signal (BTM Bangalore). He was in the middle row and to the interest of the BHPians, he was not belted. The glass were not tinted, but clean & spotless.

Re: Cars Indian CEOs drive

Scorpio is the new trend in India I guess. India CEO, Mr Narendra Modi is also using Scorpio. Mahindra must be mighty pleased with this. Looks like Scorpio will get good sales numbers in coming months. I am happy that Mr Modi has chosen Indian car for his use http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/images...s/Clapping.gif
