Exactly! Our old 800 cost us some 85,000 rupees. That was in '88. I would try posting the invoice.

No idea about this one but the first hatchback (and i think the *only* hatchback) to offer 50:50 rear split seats was the WagonR.

first car with an automatic transmission was not a zen but again an M800, SB 308 sometime in 1991-92, in miniscule quantities. i have seen one in neptune blue colour with a small "automatic" badging on the left side. It had 2 speeds IIRC.

First car with an eccentric rail front seat mechanism-fiat uno. It had an inbuilt height adjuster, which raised the seat automatically when it was pulled forward and vice versa.

I was referring to 50:50 split seats, as against 60:40.
Are you sure the M800 DX had 50:50 split seats at the rear ?

Nissan Micra- first car in the segment to have a,

1) start stop button,

2) keyless entry

3) alternative for roof stiffners is a part of external aesthetics

4) Electric folding ORVMs( I feel i20 is a segment above)

5) Drivers airbag is standard.

In which segment does the Swift fall?

The Swift would be the first B1 hatch to sport ACC (I believe that Swift and Beat are in the same segment), barring the Fabia of course, which is a premium hatch. (Fabia is THE first hatchback to sport ACC)
