Ikon TDCI discontinued ? EDIT: Confirmed: Ford stops Ikon production

In my 8 years of ownership, the Ikon has provided me enough enjoyment to last me a lifetime of beautiful memories. The road trip to Manali, Rohtang, interiors of Rajasthan, UP among others will be cherished forever. The 1.6 ZXi petrol still remains package of reliability and driving pleasure.

The other Ikon in our group has a reading of ~200K Kms. on the odo and still runs strong.

Back then in 2002-2003, Ford Motors' service still lacked refinement and these cars were taken care of by our mechanic, 'Suleman Mistry' at Palika Bhawan, opposite Hyatt Regency.

Most Ford Motor fans probably now await the launch of the Fiesta (Falcon?)

Well every good thing does have to end someday.
I am sure the present owners of this car will hang on to it tighter than a "British Bulldog" on a piece of bone.

Back in 2005 I remember seeing my colleague Ikon with some remapping/Filter. It used to take off like a rocket.
