This is the only point He's mistaken about. Of course, I cant say anything about the running part. The rest of the description is fairly acceptable.

One thing I will re-stress about : the 2nd row / back-seat is inadequate for family. Even for us. Please do not expect your wife to sit in the back-seat with kids and be comfortable / not complain.

Correct. The family wouldnt be comfortable driving in this truck. It may just be manageable enough only for 50-60 kms drive. I am considering dropping out of this now.

The model is 2006 and I am the second owner the first owners are the TELCO people and this was a test drive vehicle. It is done 23000 KMS has got comprehensive insurance valid for perhaps for another 8 months. Diesel version gives 12 KMS per ltr with AC. Has got everything that a highend vehicle should have but for ABS and AIR Bags. Maintained well and no attnetion is needed. You may have to spend around Rs 2500 every 10000 KMs running. Is in a very good condition. This is 2 ltr engine originally priced @ 9 lakhs meant only for export. Sold around 120 vehicles in India and now re-released as TATA XENON. Spare parts and the maintainanace is very easy since the engine is of Safari.

Dude the owner really dose not know about TATA vehicles, it may be a export model , but the thing was officially launched in India, and the 4x2 version sold for 7 lac, and the 4x4 sold for 8.5 lac.
As for xenon it a completely new platform, as for maintenance cost he is quit close to what is the actual.

Very much possible. The owner is a very freak guy and this one is his 36th 4 wheeler that he owned in last 3-4 decades. He is very different. He keeps atleast 3 four wheelers with him all the time. In 2-4 years max, he sells and buys another one. He doesnt mind buying a used one or a new one. Being with so many cars, what he might have very well got confused about the information on this truck.

Are you sure it is not 4X4? In one of the pics, the front looks raised, as in the 4WD version.

100% sure it is not a 4X4. Unsure why it looks raised.

Both 2WD & 4WD TLs have the same suspension height.

Ok, thanks for clarifying. I was thinking it would be lower for the 2WD.

Very likely upsized wheels. Look like 16"s.
