Leave alone adding gadgets, I wonder if they have stopped giving the Honda pillows. Recently went with a friend to take delivery of a City. Didn't see any pillows in the City/Civic/Accords ready to be delivered.

re: Scoop shots: 2011 Honda Accord Facelift. EDIT : Now launched!

^yeah happened with our ANHC delivery too. The dealer as a favor sent it later at home

Accord is dabbling in sure shot shark infested waters. Once the ruler of the segment is now so far behind. I have seen least 5 people booking either a Superb or a BMW 3 just because they did not feel Accord was VFM. The segment is not for bargain hunters but Honda makes them feel like one. Thats the saddest part.

whatever happened to the Acura TL that was supposed to debut as the 'Accord Diesel'? (caught on with scratching-the-head syndrome from GTO)

Very Subtle changes indeed . An untrained eye wont notice a change. Seems Honda is going the Hero Honda way (oops ! the hero way )

re: Scoop shots: 2011 Honda Accord Facelift. EDIT : Now launched!

this is probably off topic, but isn't this disaster in the making for Honda as a company if they don't give enough features in this price bracket, even without significant changes to the exterior? They are bringing out a facelift and even team-BHPian's are hardpressed to tell the difference, how many people in the "aam janta" will be able to tell the difference? I make the comparison not because we at team BHP are know it alls, but we're definitely more automobile crazy than the normal population, who look out for things that stand apart, like for example even the stickering of the embelms on the latest alto as a measure of cost cutting(something i would never notice in my life if it wasn't for team-BHP's review or tell the difference between a 3series and it's //M counterpart)
Because as sales for the past few months are showing, except the city which is their bread and butter model, which other model of theirs is showing substantial numbers? The civic which was once the market leader is not selling all that well, the jazz never did sell to begin with, the crv and the accord are taking a beating, and i believe they will continue to do so till there is any price correction from their side! Isn't anyone at honda understanding that we aren't going to pay just for a brand name unless its one of the three germans?? Agreed Honda is a "prestigious brand" so to speak in the Indian context, and it's comparatively cheaper to maintain in its price segment vis a vis the germans, but that doesn't justify their premium cost price right? Hopefully localisation of parts once their rajasthan plant is functional will help their cause!

re: Scoop shots: 2011 Honda Accord Facelift. EDIT : Now launched!

Sorry this is a bit OT
My 2008 civic does not auto lock the doors.
I was wondering can we update the firmware or something like that, and get this feature in our civic.
Also is it possible to get the mid to show fuel efficiency figures in the old civic. Cause the new one has it.

No wonder the Accord has lost so much ground to the competition. It just can't match rivals like the Superb and gang. Now with the aspirational X1 in it's turf, I think Honda could have done more to load its premium sedan with more goodies.

Never seen such an inconspicuous facelift.
Hope the interiors are revamped and the feature list receives additions like MID, steering mounted audio controls, cellphone pairing, paddle shifters(A/T).

Sid nice scoop

Nothing in what's new adds any value to the current Accord - except making the looks a bit better - a bit smoother.

The Superb and X1 are both better value and in similar price range.

I guess the Accord is going to loose numbers fast, soon. Newer buyers will move away from the current lot due to the new one arriving soon, and once the newer one does arrive comparision with the competition will leave it behind.

A totally new Accord and Civic is what Honda needs and they need to give more value and features in the same dimensions.

I still find it difficult to spot the difference. Nevertheless the accord really needs to up the feature list. The accord before this looked like a smooth clean jap designe but the current one looks as if its trying to hard to cater to the american/european customers. Also For the longest i ve been hearing stories of the 2 lt diesel being launched in India. Whatever happened to that !!

Re: Scoop shots: 2011 Honda Accord Facelift. EDIT : Now launched!

Im impressed with the fact that Honda is finally listening ! They have added the Sunroof as standard and its high time isnt it ! (Still no steering mounted audio)
The funny thing is that they still dont have the fuel economy indicator on the car. The fact is the Auto returns a poor 7km/l and that too when driven with a light foot. They wouldnt want people to see the indicator showing that figure as it would just spread the word arnd. I know of many people who dont know how to calculate mileage of a car, often i hear some idiots tell me.. Achee gaadi hai, tankfull mein 550 km chalti hain. (The car returns 550 km to the tank and that's great associating that too km/l !)
