Personally I have stopped doing do, as I dont find anything worth in the shows these days. To some extent I still like the Delhi auto show, because atleat it is big and has some decent sections. I will not get into how easy it is to walk around Pragati Maidan though. Will need a whole new thread for that

The show had a lot of missus:

• No Tata Motors & Fiat
• No Chevrolet
• No Mitubishi
• Mahindra was there sans Scorpio

I wouldn't call it crappy but certainly not the best. To me, the best Expo in Mumbai was the one which I attended in May 1999.

I went for the TOI MIMS on Saturday and all i recieved was 'dasappointment'!
When i was on my way to BKC, i was thinking about all the cars that i can see there at the Motor show. i was excited about having a peek at the new launches of 2011. i wanted to see the Maruti Suzuki Kizashi, but all they had were the 'green' version of their rides.
I also expected a few imports, but to my surprise, all i could see was a Ferrari, that had a stupid looking kit over it, with a wooden base!
it was very disappointing.
Though, there were a few cars that i really liked.
i had never bothered to know about the Nissan Micra, but when i saw it there, i really liked the car! it is very spacious, for a small hatchback and has all the facilities that none of the cars, in its segment has!
Other than this, TOI MIMS just gave a waste of Rs.100/-.
Hoping, that they come up with something better next year.

No Amit, it wasn't at Nirlon. It was at MMRDA. I would say, the only drool worthy thing in the show was the "Vespa LX125".

Well the International name these days are sadly taken in vain. It aint even fully domestic worthy enough any more.

What is the world coming to. Do we still have to go overseas, or just drool about good autoshows that take place abroad and see them in magazines?

100 bucks for this show?!!! Even badhti mehengai can't be a convincing justification!

The only benefit of such shows is that they can make spendthrifts of the highest order realise the value of money.

They should have really called it a MMS. It was pretty much disappointing except for the Merc, some vingtage displays and M&M 4X4 drive experience on Thar. Fortunately, we had taken the 20% discount email after registering for the expo on Zigwheels site.
