M&M rolls out double cabin pick-up 'Genio'

Saw this article in ET today. Surprised what they are "launching" now? This thread is already 6 months old, is it just the double cabin version of existing 'Genio', is that the only change? At first I thought this is entirely new vehicle.

M&M rolls out double cabin pick-up 'Genio' - The Economic Times.

The Genio DC is said to have build quality and finish unseen in a commercial vehicle in India. The Genio DC also comes packed with features like adjustable power steering, power windows and a 2 din music system for a comfortable driving experience. The centre floor console has a mobile phone charging port, bottle holder, and cup holders. The Genio instrument cluster has a RPM meter and trip meter. The Genio DC also comes with central locking and keyless entry, engine immobiliser and ‘follow me home lights’. The cabin is meant to be luxurious with comfortable seating for five passengers. The car like gear shift and wide windscreen make it easy to drive in urban environments.

Re: Mahindra Xylo based pick-up 'Genio' launched in India

Finally it has come and happy about the double cab Genio.
Hope this is the beginning of the maturation of the pick-up market in India, unlike the horrendously high priced Xenon and Getaway, however good or lifestyle they maybe.
Wish Tat comes up with a rival nad replace the 207Di.
Or maybe wait for the next gen Xenon on the X2 platform to come and then place the present Xenon to replace he 207Di???
