Made for India : How some foreign car manufacturers have adapted their cars f...

Very lousy article , or where Merc and Porche playing to the make in India galleries.

The C 43 AMG is not a true blooded AMG engine like the C63 AMG. For people who know their cars the showroom staff quickly change the linguistics from AMG to AMG LINE.

Correct me if I am wrong ,The C43 AMG is basically the C400 sold in the American and European markets. The AMG wheels , bumpers , carbon fiber trims and the stickers makes an appearance along with sporty exhaust. The engine is definitely Mercedes sourced and not built by AMG.

It probably more marketing. Sell a Mercedes C 400 by itself for 80 lakhs versus an AMG sticker for the same price.

Basically they are not stripped down versions sold at half price but serious cars with probably different or smaller engine options. You still don't get these cars with 2 airbags or missing ABS. Lol.

Case in point. I don't know when our market will be treated seriously, on par with Brazil and the like. Surely it isn't that our market doesn't pay as much - it's just that our regulations/enforcement are just not stringent enough to force the companies to give an on par offering. And consumer power isn't as potent.
Sad.
