Bangalore: Maruti Suzuki Autocross 2015 on June 6-7

The Maruti Suzuki Autocross 2015 is scheduled to take place in Bangalore on June 6-7, 2015 at the Supernova Arena, New Airport Road.

For those less familiar with the concept of autocross, this is a tight circuit where drivers are racing against the clock. Precision driving matters more than outright speed and there are several classes for the vehicles to participate in depending upon their engine and brand. Yes, non-Maruti cars participate too.

Not planning on participation, However wouldn't mind taking someone's car for a spin

With 150 entries over the course of two days, the Bangalore edition seems to be another successful Autocross event in the Motorsport chapter. Participants raced across several categories, in cars from different manufacturers, and not only Maruti Suzuki vehicles.

The Autocross is said to have become a stepping stone for amateur rally drivers, which leads them to other rally events such as the Raid de Himalaya, Desert Storm and Dakshin Dare, all organized by Maruti Suzuki Motorsport.
