If I were to run this, I'd pick a Swift, OHC-1.3 or the good old Esteem.

Flair and Getz dont really stand a chance because they are not 4 valve motors, unless they get some other concession.

No no, the Getz is bad enough. I don't want to face him in another car!!! My jaw dropped when he overtook me.

hey i think its time the saloon class was upped from the 1300cc............. make 4 different class 1300... 1600... 1800... 2000...(for those who want to put the big cars in)... keep the rules may be like this engine open but no over bore, ecu's free, company approved suspension, and i do agree with what psycho says abt point 5...............

If u increase the number of classes, organisation becomes harder. Time taken on the track is more. And the number of participants per class will decrease. The last thing we want is 2 or 3 cars per class, right?

i agree with what you have to say but look at the number of cars that can run the 1600 class, and the 1800 class there r enough partcipants as far as i know who r interested but the only cath is the way the pricing is per race and what is the costs we have to incur for a seasons run..................

Why not have a power/weight ratio as the deciding factor? Then you can forget about cc-based classification.

well that could work if we knew how much power a car is making. if it was stock, then it would be easy. but with modded cars and lack of dyno facilities it will be hard.

I meant stock company-claimed power output, man. Modding is left to the owners.

That would place a 500kg, 50 bhp car in the same league as a 1 tonne, 100 bhp one. Just an example, of course.

Ok, this is getting interesting!!!

But then again, custom chassis is very hard to differentiate from engine swap, in some cases. And methinks mid-engined Getz would warrant an engine swap. Or would it?
