An afternoon at the MMSC Track.

This afternoon i witnessed three qualifiers of the JK Tyre series at the Madras Motor Sports Track. Of the three races that i saw, the first one was import bikes(600cc) , the second Maruti 1000cc and the third Rolon Formula III cars categories respectively. I think my information and recollection is accurate, but if isn't please feel free to correct me. In this first post you will find some spottings and things that interested me while we were waiting for the races to commence after lunch!.

Man I love the Hummer and the accord

Accord's Rims look so great.

HOwever did not find the wheels on the vRs exciting enough.

Why is there a 200ft braking marker at the opposite side of the straight? Do any of the races run anticlockwise? OR, was that a 200mtr marker for the right side of the straight?

A few miscellaneous pics from the track to complete my post. Thanx for your comments and i hope you like this post. I had a blast yesterday at the track.One of the photos is a shot of the FIA official stationed here, the white lady wearing a white top!. Also, is a pic of the tv crew who covered the day's events.

Nice photos. Compare the grid with this one from the 70's and everyone will agree that Indian motorsport is not what it used to be. I feel sad and dejected that my generation (including myself) has not experienced the awesomeness of being on track at the same time as a contemporary F1 car, with homebuilt machinery no less:
