One cannot blame Wheelieboy, this was what was announced at the Deccan Quartermile Drag (Hyderabad) earlier this month. This is also the information available on the FMSCI web site. The FMSCI calender of events clearly lists the Mumbai Speed Run for 7th and 8th November.

A few of us were making plans to be at the event, this uncertainity means that we will not be able to plan anything properly.

Surprisingly the ACI website is totally silent about the event.

Cheers,

i dont know whats the reason behind it, but ACI are not immature, they are organizing SR since 03, in case if its postponed than there might be some strong reason behind it, i am sure they dont want to mess it up, i am not justifying anyone, but i said what i felt, i have organized small events i know what kinda trouble organizers face.

waiting for the confirmed news from ACI officials.

Forget the dates. I dont see a proper drag racing strip anywhere in kharghar. Most are uneven patches.
Where is wheelie boy after confirming so much. He has vanished from this thread.
Updates are always giving of upcoming events but nobody bothers to tell us if they get cancelled or postponed. Very misleading 99%.
I can't believe you guys didn't see this coming. After all, it is the Autocar SR. The first set of dates is never final .

What happened to Torquenite after all the hype they created? And what about the other Legends drag or something like that?
All said, APMSC is atleast doing something and keeping things going as per the schedule which is commendable.
I doubt if the Jan SR will happen.

This is pathetic, a winter speedrun would be quite welcome infact.

Well yes, winter (or what we have of it in Mumbai) would have been better for the machines, the men and the audience but, nothing much can be done about it.

Thankfully, APMSC has a drag run scheduled in December and Hyderabad definitely has a more wintry winter than Mumbai.

Cheers,
