Another one to add on my list, again an Italian: Fiat Panda – weird name for a car, but quite defined the styling for Fiat cars.

Oh yes! And when I thought it was a one-off aberration, they tried to better it with the Lauretta (better sense prevailed that they decided to stick to the Rapid).
But seeing how unimaginative Skoda’s nomenclature department is, I expect them to come up with some worst than the Laura in the near future – Maybe Klemente!

Some names that seem to stand out from the pack. Some of these appeal to us on account of the meaning \ context. Other just sound cool. Most importantly most of these names seem to defy classification into a certain time period. They are as appealing today as they might have been in the 50's, had they been around.

Ferrari Testarossa
Ford Mustang
Dodge Dart ( ...being revived in 2013 after decades of slumber)
Dodge Intrepid
Lancia Delta intergrale
Mitubishi Galant
Porsche Carrera
Jeep Wrangler
