What a pretty, pretty car!

Here's an interesting fact on the Atlast per Wikipedia:

The third generation Touareg will debut on the MLB platform its corporate siblings, the Porsche Cayenne and Audi Q7, ride on. The third generation Touareg will emphasize the latest in fuel saving technologies and will reportedly be significantly lighter than the first two generations. VW has discontinued the Touareg for sale in the USA after the 2017 model year onward, based on sales, and on availability of the larger and less expensive Atlas model which was specifically designed for US consumers' tastes.

Unlikely that they'd get this to India, given where the Tiguan resides and the Kodiaq exists. The pricepoint where it'd be offered would make it very unfeasible.

The Atlas is a typical mass market low cost SUV for the states. What it loses in sophistication is gains in terms of size. If it came to India, it would compete with the Fortuner

I dont understand VW strategy at all.
If VW can make a bigger,cheaper SUV - Atlas, why do they need Toureg?
It makes no sense to have Toureg in VW lineup. They should replace it with Atlas worldwide.

2020 VW Atlas Cross Sport-A SUV Coupe , launched.

In terms of size, the Cross Sport is 2.8 inches (7.1 cm) shorter than the current Atlas, and sits 2.3 inches (5.8 cm) lower. However, its wheelbase is identical, allowing for generous space inside – 111.8 cu.ft (3,165 liters) of passenger space with 40.3 cu.ft (1,141 liters) of luggage space. Fold down the second row and you get a massive 77.8 cu.ft (2,203 liters).

Eight trim levels will be made available in total: S, SE, SE w/Tech, SE w/Tech R-Line, SEL, SEL R-Line, SEL Premium and SEL Premium R-Line.

Every car that tried to imitate the BMW X6 ever.

Has become pretty standard now, isn't it? Almost every company does them - VW and Skoda does it subtle, while BMW and Merc still go all out! Even Renault Captur has one!

The only 'SUV Coupe' I like over the standard version is the Porsche Cayenne.

Just another SUV with an impractical trunk. Almost all manufacturers want to launch such SUVs to cash in the SUV crazy happening across several countries.

Similar crazy line up from BMW:
- 3 series sedan
- 4 series coupe (coupe version of 3 series sedan)
- 4 series grand coupe (sedan version of 4 series coupe)

Volkswagen has revealed their Teramont X crossover facelift in China.






The crossover receives a new gloss-black grille and headlights above a revamped lower intake opening. The grille features a new ambient light bar that spans across it and connects the restyled LED matrix headlights. The VW logo now glows, too. Volkswagen uses high-gloss black trim on the windows, roof, and doors. The crossover also receives gloss-black wheels and red brake calipers.

This car will be manufactured by SAIC in China.

This same design language could be carried out to the Atlas Cross Sport for
the North American market (expected to be revealed soon).
