Renders of this possible design were floating around the web months ago, and the common consensus seemed to be that it was the least impressive option of all the renders doing the rounds. Everyone agreed that it looked more like the current Accord Coupe and less like a Mustang. Even Rutledge Wood of TG USA said pretty much the same thing.

What you're seeing in these pictures is the beefed up 5.0 GT version - the 3.0 and 4-pot versions look terribly bland and nothing like a Pony car should.

I'm terribly disappointed.

The front looks so much Aston Martin like. The side profile resembles the Maserati!!
I think the designers have gone wrong with this one. The car completely loses out on the raw retro muscle styling.

The interior styling improvements are appreciated. However, On the outside I don't know how you can call this car a muscle car anymore.

It looks just like any other Euro sports car > . >. Not to my liking at all, The previous generation was better looking and actually looked aggressive enough to be called an American Muscle car.

Sad to see the dilution of the essence of this pony car. If they can do such trickery with the 2.3 puny motor then why not do half of that trickery on the existing 5.0 and keep everyone happy. I mean 4 cylinder techno jazz is good but if you buy a pony car you buy it for its deep burbly exhaust note and the overall feel of a chilled out V8 under the vast hood on top of that the car looks like an overgrown Taurus with a Mustang-ish rear.
