re: New Suzuki small hatch spotted testing in Europe

Source: http://suzukifan.com/2013/12/25/suzu...del-in-europe/

Though this is a report posted on Dec 2013, they say that:

"Early 2016 will start sale of new premium B-segment hatchback.

2017 This year, they’re unconfirmed about new model but another model this year should be the new C-segment hatchback"

The spy pics of the above big car seems to be of the C-segment hatch. Then where is the B-Segment car that was planned for 2016? Any info?

The mystery hatch is spotted again. Seeing the Swift-like headlamps, now I have a feeling that it will be the next gen Swift.

"To add to the confusion, it's a right-hand drive tester, which could mean that it's not destined for Europe."

So, it destined for India, for sure!

Rumours suggest that the next gen Swift will be a 'one size fits all'. Sporty for the international market, while having extra space and equipment for emerging markets like India.

Will it be a Kizahashi hatch back version?

A very remote possibility. In my opinion; must not and should not be. Suzuki will never chop off the rear of its one of the most premium models in global line up. Even if there are no takers of this premium car, I will prefer the Kizashi die peacefully. This of course is my personal opinion. Though, there are some similarities like the bonnet shut line and probably the front air dam too, but the windshield to bonnet area looks much shorter when compared to the length of Kizashi.

Edit: My personal opinion is that it will be the SX4 cross/hatchback.

I hope it's not a butchered Kizashi sans the boot. The car may be a dud in India for various reasons, but is hands down one of the best looking mid-sized sedans I've ever seen.

Re: New Suzuki small hatch spotted testing in Europe

Can this be the upcoming YRA B+ Segment hatch which was intended to be positioned above Swift?? The chrome door handles suggest this premium positioning. This can't be the next gen swift according to me as it lacks that sharply angled A-pillar and that Swift like silhouette.

That hatch looks much bigger than the Swift. But its about time we start seeing the spy shots of the new generation Swift. The current one debuted in 2010.

Incidentally, all the major markets for the Swift drive on the left hand side of the road, India, The UK, Japan etc. Hungary doesn't tough. But it really doesn't matter during vehicle testing.
