Gosh!, Porsches, Mustangs and the Red Ferraris all in one page, was enough to get my heart beating nineteen to the dozen!!.
I have been to the BMW welt a few years ago in Munich, which showcased their cars and mobikes. That was a great experience, but this is something else.
Lucky you, for being able to see this all in person and thanks a million for posting all these drool-worthy pictures of dream machines.

That Sir, is the Mercedes McLaren SLR Stirling Moss, introduced in 2009 and limited to only 75 units, so quite a rare car.

While the Stuttgart Old Timers' Show was great, it had one thing missing from it: Dynamism. What I mean is that all those automotive beauties had the 'motive' part missing from the action. And as anyone can relate, the allure of a supercar/ hyper car is the way it sounds and moves. So in this pursuit, I ended up in Munich one weekend, to witness the 'Lion's Run' The event would be a gathering of various super/hyper cars and then they would all go on an escorted drive through Munich, with the roads closed for traffic and a full police escort

Let me digress with a bit of social networking news: I had no clue such an event was being held. However, a friend of my close friend (and unknown to me) who lives in Munich had posted he might be going to this event. This piqued the interest of my friend in India, who suggested it to me, being a fellow auto enthusiast. At the same time, a couple of friends from my ex company, i.e ex-colleagues who were in Frankfurt saw my interest in this event and decided to surprise me by showing up at the event. Needless to say, I was really surprised and glad at the same time to see my friends at the show. I know, it does seem a bit cheesy, what with connectivity being so easy nowadays, but I was just surprised at how info was relayed back forth across continents in an unintended manner to lead to a happy occasion.

Anyway, getting to the main subject matter, the show promised a gathering of some of the most powerful cars on the planet, ' A Day of 1000 bhp' they called it and posters teased attendees with Lambos and McLarens and Bugattis. And when I got there, they did not disappoint

If you are into classic cars, you should really try and visit the Techno Classica Show in Essen.Largest classic car show in Europe.

Sorry for bumping up an old thread. That video and the roar of the V8s remind someone of central London streets with plethora of supercars, mostly with Arab plates.
