Re: Motor Trend Channel - Simply awesome videos

Another latest awesome video from MT, NSX vs GTR.

Quote:
Ever since the Nissan GT-R finally came to America for the 2009 model year, it’s lacked a hometown rival. For 2017, Godzilla gets a refresh just in time to do battle with the brand-new Acura NSX. The NSX is a rolling tech showcase, combining a mid-mounted, twin-turbocharged, 75-degree, 3.5L V-6 and (for the first time ever) two electric motors up front, providing real torque vectoring across the front axle. It also features a third electric motor sandwiched between the gasoline engine and a nine-speed dual-clutch automatic to provide torque-fill, boosting output while the turbochargers are spooling up. This new tech makes the GT-R sound decidedly old-school—its front-mounted, 3.8L twin-turbo V-6 mates to a six-speed dual-clutch automatic, with no electric motors to help it out.

Re: Motor Trend Channel - Simply awesome videos

Allow me to introduce to you a video containing Angus Mackenzie and Carlos Lago.

Used to like the neutral stance maintained by Carlos Lago and the stoic nature of Angus Mackenzie. Angus Mackenzie has a near encyclopediac knowledge about cars.

From the extra ordinary reviews that Ford Focus RS has got till date. Let us hear what Angus has to say on the contrary.

It used to be a pleasure to hear him out in their sit around sessions from the "Wide Open Throttle" playlist. I am also attaching a few of those videos.

I am not sure everyone would enjoy the sit arounds. It is a pleasure to hear them talk about nearly every car on the planet.

Another recent video that i enjoyed is also posted below.

Never used to like Justin Long and his "Worlds Fastest cars" playlist. But this new video is more matured and less louder than earlier.

I hope you enjoy these videos as much as i have.

Re: Motor Trend Channel - Simply awesome videos

I just watched this, and thoroughly enjoyed it! I wasn't aware of some of the differences he pointed out in this video, so found it even more interesting, especially since I've only been for a ride in the Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2

Cheers

Motor Trend Channel Engine Masters Educational videos

I find Engine Masters series within Motortrend Channel very interesting and educational.

Not sure if this should appear within the Technical stuff.

This video explains camshafts. Worth a watch.

For the first 11 minutes, I really thought these guys lost it trying to emulate the TopGear format.

Thankfully, the second half of the review picks it up. Two great vehicles and I think they could have done a much better job here.

Re: Motor Trend Channel - Simply awesome videos

Here is the latest episode of Ignition with the achingly beautiful Aston Martin DB11.

Only that air brake and the digital meter looks a bit out of place. A great GT nevertheless.

The most fun you can have for a budget.

Head to Head between the sweetest driving cars.

Watch out for a guest appearance by another car which really proves the point of why these sportscars are the best thing to have.

Re: Motor Trend Channel - Simply awesome videos

Bad news: Jason has left Motor Trend for pastures new. He hasn't specified what his future holds. That's a big loss.

I was surprised when I saw Randy Pobst do the full review of the new Volvo V90 Cross Country in the latest episode of Ignition. And some digging brought the news out. There is also a note by Jonny thanking Jason at the end of that report below.

Bad news indeed!! I love his Aston Martin V12 Vantage review. His passion and his technical acumen are at the fore in this review. Really a big loss. Though Jonny is also good, I somehow like to see Jason's reviews as compared to others on Motor trend. Hope to see him on screen soon again.

Randy can't host a show for nuts! Even Johnny!

Ignition and H2H is pretty much a boring show if not for Cammisa.

I hope he gets back to videos real soon.

Similar for mobiles, there was Pocketnow who had Michael Fischer. Once he left, the Juan Carlos Bagnell took over and his shows were a bore. Luckily Michael started his own Youtube channel Mr. Mobile.

I completely agree. John sort of reignited the whole channel and brought so much more detail, humor and entertainment.

I hope he keeps creating great videos.
