and this how it will look according to Auto Motor and Sport(AMS) magazine.looks very hot to me.This C-class is going to steal the crown from the 3-series.This car is going to be launched at the 2007 Geneva Show in March. Most likely we will see the real shots comming out in Jan-Feb 2007.

they haven't got the side profile right at all.it wont look anything like this, see spy shots.

The engines offered will be as follows:

C200 (184-hp)

6-cylinder petrol
C230 (204-hp)

C350 (272-hp) or (292-hp Direct injection)

8-cylinder petrol
C63 AMG (450-hp)

4-cylinder diesel
C200 CDI (136-hp)

Looks awesome, though C pillar is a little thin by Merc terms.

Nice find.

Bmw 3 series may not be the best looking car but it is the ultimate driving machine so if the c class has to upset the bmw sales figures the c class has to better the 3 series in that department too.

Like nikhil pointed out in terms of looks very much CLish..

Nice find merve_extreme.. Car looks Good.

It's little longer and taller than existing one, BUT lets see what they have done to inside space.

I think head lights look similar to that of recently launched s class or is it just me?

Merc.

fully undisguised rear shot.looks good to me but the reflections spoil the photo.the rear looks to have a short overhang, partly its because of the angle of the photo that shows the slanting bootline.

not bad, not bad at all. i think the angle of some of the photos makes the rear look awkward. looks like all the sites are scooping up those pics.
the door handles are angled differently in the second last pic you posted.
nevermind, it's like that on all the pics.

btw does anybody else think the taillights look like the NHC?

This design looks confusing, well most people dont like a new design, but thats usually based on aesthetic preference. However what I dont like about this design is that this car is looking too anonymous for a Merc. For instance, if you cover the face and add a hoffmeister kink to the rear window it could easily pass off as some scoop pics of a next 3 series car.
Moreover, doesn't the tail-light/boot lines look like inspired by the Honda
City? The A and C pillers do not have the solidity associated with Mercs.
It could also pass off as a simple next gen Lexus IS! Its the grill only that says, hey I am a Merc after all. A merc should say from every angle about where it comes from, namely Stuttgart.

The design part is your opinion and you are entitled to it. BUT you did get the pricing wrong. THE BMW and MB will be closer in price than ever. I'm sure the C will be costlier but that is true in all markets around the world as MB have always charged a premium around the world compared to its German counterparts.

Also, there IS NO 340i! There is a 335i coupe and sedan though. And if that ever comes to India (which I doubt), it will be nowhere close to 28 lakhs. It will easily be somewhere close to 40 lakhs which is verging on the price of a 5 series.
