Did you miss the second page: http://techon.nikkeibp.co.jp/atcl/ca...007/?ST=AT&P=2 ?

"...if the intake and exhaust pipes are thinned, the resistance when intake and exhaust pass through the pipe increases, and the engine is subjected to a load. Therefore, Crosby's 1.0L direct injection turbo engine suppressed the maximum output than the Swift engine. The maximum rotational speed of the engine that generates the maximum torque was also lower than that of the Swift engine"

Maximum output (kW / rpm):
XBEE: 73/5500
Swift: 75/5500

Maximum torque (N · m / rpm):
XBEE: 150 / 1700-4000
Swift: 150 / 1700-4500

So, it is a de-tuned version of the 1L BoosterJet engine combined with a mild hybrid system.

Seems like my mistake. Swift pricing is that of K12C, while XBee pricing is that of 1L BoosterJet. BoosterJet Swift costs almost the same as that of XBee.

Re: Suzuki's new Compact Crossover for Japan (2018)

XBee is a "crossed-up" Hustler. Now Suzuki can make it grow even further to a proper "Sports-Bee". (Original image: Paultan).
