Ford has released a teaser video of the third-generation Mustang Shelby GT500.

From the outside, the overall shape of the Mustang is retained while changes include 10-spoke blackened alloy wheels with red brake calipers, black quad-exhaust tips, black hood vents, new rear wing and a new front splitter. In the teaser video, the first Shelby GT500 is shown to transform into the new car.

A supercharged V8 engine will power the new Shelby GT500. Compared to the original 1967 Shelby GT500, the 2019 version is claimed to twice as powerful. The car is claimed to be the most powerful street-legal production car built by Ford.

The Mustang Shelby GT500 is expected to go on sale in 2019 and will compete against the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon and the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1.

This would be one hell of a car. Can't wait for the reveal. Apart from the mechanical parts i hope there are some new gizmos to play around with.

The upcoming Shelby GT500 has been teased in a video by Ford. After its introduction, the GT350 will be discontinued. The car is reportedly going to make around 750 HP. Also the ugly face of the facelift will not be coming in the car, it gets the pre-facelift face.

I wish cars like these make it to our shores. The GT500 may cost around 70-80K dollars in the USA. If they assemble the GT500 here and price in affordably, everyone will be going mad after it.

The GT350 was never built in Right Hand Drive version, the GT500 too may follow the same route.

So Indian entry will only come into picture if at all this is made as a RHD.
