Moby Dick makes a comeback - The Porsche 935

Porsche just showcased a new track weapon inspired by the 1976 935 originally christened the "Moby Dick". While one would think that Porsche would spend time working on the new 911 and the Taycan, this surprised automotive experts around the world.

Now you can buy this if you can pony up an equivalent of £750,000 and if you are the lucky first 77 to do so. However, you cannot still drive it home, it's track only. So you better arrange a flatbed and a winding strip of tarmac surrounded by gravel and tyres with facilities for a pit crew and closed to general traffic.

All that is fine, but what about the meat of the matter? What drives this thing?

The drivetrain is from the 911 GT2 RS with a 700 bhp 3.8 ltr flat six. However, the 935 weighs about 150 kg less than the GT2, so that should make things fun. However, at more than 3x the price, is it really worth it? Plus you don't get to drive it on the road.

Here are some pictures to sooth your eyes.
1. The donor for the drivetrain. Would you rather have this and save £500k?

This is how it looks inside the 935. Carbon steering, wooden gear knob etc..
