Not sure about the genuity of specs - but Chinese take pride in their vehicles (cars/aircrafts etc). Modiji should ask Bajaj, Mahindra or Tata to make a vehicle better than Hongqi instead of using BMW. We need to push indigenous vehicles and what better way to start than coming from the PM itself. Also it will great if the vehicle is electric.

I think he already uses a Range Rover for his visits inside India, considering that JLR is a Tata Motors marquee.

The PM doesn't have to ride a WIP/Beta Indian product to push Indian manufacturing. The priority is for the PM of India to travel safely. PERIOD.

Globalisation is the norm and the British have left India 70 years back. Stop glorifying the purchase of British brands by Indian companies and taking it as a matter of pride or something. For all you know, I really wonder if the shareholders of TATA sons are really happy with the fancy overseas purchases of Steel plants, hotels, car brands and tea brands.
