My goodness. The new Civic in that Navy blue shade looks stunning. Honda, if you are reading this, please launch this in India. There are some in India who do not want to dive into the whole crossover fad and this will be it. Ofcourse goes without saying that you'll also need to get in proper engine and transmission options.

Look at those long flat straight lines. Though a sedan, the silhouette is fastback like. The very BMW-esque long hood is so attractive.

The smart German style tail lamps. That amazing retro-modern front fascia. Is Honda bringing this to India? My cheque book is ready. I would love to leave this to my kids one day. I am totally in love with those 1970s longish retro cool looks.

Honda Canada’s Civic configurator has gone live. Four trims are being offered; LX, EX, Sport & Touring.

LX, EX & the Sport variants get the naturally aspirated 16 valve, port injected, double overhead cam, i-VTEC 2 ltr. four banger with 158 bhp and the CVT.

The safety suite that Honda offers across all variants include, collision mitigation, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, blind spot monitoring, 4 wheel ABS, EBD, brake assist, vehicle stability assist, front, side & curtain airbags and hill start assist.

LX gets 7” inch colour TFT for driver information interface along with 7” colour touch screen for infotainment along with 8 speakers and Apple Car Play & Android Auto (wired). LED low and high beams, proximity key with push button start, automatic climate control, heated front seats, 6 way manual driver seat adjustment & remote start are standard. LX gets 16 inch steel wheels.











EX which is the next variant gets dual zone automatic climatic control, leather wrapped steering wheel, 16” Al alloys, sunroof & turn signals integrated in ORVMs. It also get the Aegean Blue Metallic colour in addition to Silver, Grey, White and Black (offered on LX).





Sports variant gets the 18” alloy wheels, paddle shifters, sports mode, faux lather seats, Al trimmed pedals along with additional colours such as Rallye Red & Sonic Pearl Grey.





Top trim is the Touring variant that gets 1.5 ltr turbo motor with 180 bhp, 9” colour TFT with Navigation, Bose infotainment with 12 speakers including subwoofer with wireless Apple Car Play & Android Auto. It also gets a slightly different design of 18" alloy wheels, front fog lamps, wireless charging, leather trimmed seats, 8 way powered adjustment for driver’s seat, rain sensing wipers and front & rear parking sensors. Morning Mist Blue Metallic is the colour that is exclusively offered on the Touring trim in addition to the other shades.

2022 Honda Civic Sedan Goes Officially On Sale in the US, Priced From $22,695

Honda has priced the 11th generation 2022 Civic Sedan from $22,695 in the base LX trim, including a $995 destination charge.

Every 2022 Honda Civic will come with an expanded Sensing suite of driver-assistance systems that includes Traffic Jam Assist, a revised Adaptive Cruise Control, and Lane Keep Assist systems, as standard.

Entry-level LX trim models feature a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine rated at 158 HP, paired to a CVT gearbox. Standard equipment includes a 7-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a partially digital instrument cluster, and LED headlights.

The 2022 Civic Sport starts from $24,095 and adds 18-inch alloy wheels, black exterior accents, an upgraded 8-speaker audio system, model-specific upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter, and a Sport drive mode, among others.

If you want more power, then you have to go for the EX trim level (at $25,695), which is powered by Honda’s turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 180 HP and 177 lb-ft of torque. The only transmission option here is the CVT, with Honda claiming improvements for better response.

Honda has revealed the hatchback version of the new 2022 Civic.



The front of the Civic Hatchback adopts a different grille than the sedan by incorporating hexagonal openings instead of the horizontal slats.



The Civic Hatchback wears an arching roofline that makes it appear sleeker than the sedan.



Civic hatchback is offered with either a 2.0-liter inline-four cylinder or a turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-four cylinder.



Base LX and Sport trim levels now comes with the 2.0-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder that makes 158 hp and 187 Nm.

The EX-L and Sport Touring trims variants powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder making 180 hp and 240 Nm.



A six-speed manual will be available with either engine choice. It is offered with the 2.0L engine on the Sport and with the 1.5L engine on the loaded Sport Touring. A CVT automatic is standard on all models.



Civic Hatchback LX, Sport, and EX-L trims will get a 7.0-inch instrument screen and a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment display. In Sport Touring the instrument monitor is a 10.2 inches and the infotainment to 9.0-inches.
