This looks terrific and good to see the grilles back to acceptable levels. And I love this grey color. Since I won't be able to afford a 5 series or a 3 series rationally in this life, are there other more mass market brands which provide this grey?

Being a 5 series owner, I do like the clean lines, rear of the car and the interiors. I am not a fan of the large kidney grills and the bonnet lines, prefer the subtler grill & bonnet of the current G30 cars.

The proportions and headlights look odd, like it's one of their FWD models. It looks like a large 2 series to be honest. But atleast the grill is normal sized which automatically makes this the most attractive next gen BMW.

Looks like we have come full circle with the door handles. These pull up handles used to come in all the cars in the 90's. Thank god they didn't have the annoying pop out handles.
Overall such a refreshing design. Love the sharp angles in an age when everything is becoming smooth, curvy and flowing. The alloys and the tails lamps are outstanding. This looks so
much better than the new E class IMO.

Looks beautiful from the front and sides! Rear end is good looking but I would prefer the G30 back end. Thank you so much BMW for not continuing with the monstrous grilles which IMHO are acceptable on the M performance models but not on these luxo barges. 5 series and the Volvo S90 are in my eyes the most graceful sedans out there right now and I am so glad it is to continue.

Expected the G30 LCI to stick around for at least another year, surprised to see the new one launch this soon. Was informed by the local dealer earlier this month that BMW has already discontinued the 530i, leaving the 520d as the only variant of the G30 on sale in India.

1) Enlarge and twist the kidney grill
2) Smoke the already-smoked tail lamps. By the next generation, it would be completely black
3) Get the Kia Seltos infotainment, stretch it, curve it and add a new OS
4) Add one or two new colours
5) Increase the price

Jokes apart, it looks good. Any expected date for launch in our country?

The power and torque figures and 0-100 of electric M60 are pretty impressive. Combined with BMW's excellent chassis, suspension and driving dynamics, this will plaster the smile permanently. Because it is electric, there will not be any guilt of burning lot of fuel. If it can come for 1 crore otr, it will be great.

Maybe it is the effect of seeing the too organic new E class or the fear of the 5er becoming a mini 7er", not a mini 3er!!! I am kinda okay with the new 5 series design. The headlights feel a size smaller than they should be and the rear reminds of both the 2000s Toyota Crown and the 2nd gen Lexus IS, but we all know that we are relieved the 7/X7 grille didn't make it here. Also Yayyy!!! Flap door handles are back.

Some of the higher BMWs seems to have a button/touch operated handle I guess, but the ordinary new ones have a flap handle that we should lift to operate. But not sure, if it is still mechanical or electrically actuated.

I dislike the design. The G30, especially, the LCI was absolutely perfect and carried the 5-series lineage like a boss. This new generation is not doing justice. I was expecting my fellow members to be bashing this new design but it looks like some folks do like it. Maybe I'm stuck in a previous generation mindset (I'm '95 born, so I'm not really too old). Maybe I need to change my perspective and find ways to appreciate these new designs because only god knows what kind of designs manufacturers will be putting out in a decade or two.

You could almost stick the E class grill and lights on the front and the eclass lights on the rear and you would be hard pressed to tell the difference at a glance
